Despite being future leaders, children through out the world, continue to suffer from neglect, poor or no education, a lack of recreational and development resources as well as a little recognition for the role they play in their families and communities.

For children and societies to thrive in a world that faces issues such as global poverty and climate change as well as racial and religious tensions, CFK advocates that all children have the right to receive a basic education.

We also recognize that education and learning should be put into a holistic context, as such, CFK works to transform both what children learn and how they learn. We value the learning that is involved in the process, not just the end result, believing that the education a child receives today is crucial in shaping a better tomorrow. Our primary focus is on school and teacher training through developing resources and improving educators’ practice.

CFK also believe that the role of the parents and care-givers who provide love, guidance, teaching, appropriate discipline and a good role model is vital to the child’s development. As such we also focus on developing the awareness of parents and care-givers in their responsibilities towards their children’s education, well being and development.

Youth development is the natural process of growing into adulthood and developing one’s own capacities, personality and value systems. CFK work to promote positive youth development by encouraging the teenagers themselves as well as parents, teachers and other key people in the community, to work together to plan conduct and evaluate quality experiences for teenagers. The youth activities promote positive development for the teenagers in areas relating to physical and emotional wellbeing, sense of belonging and ownership, self discovery u0026amp; self-worth, quality relationships with peer’s and adults as well as managing conflicting values.
